Introducing Edovo
We have had over 200 inmates reach out to us in response to our online courses, asking for a mentor to continue to correspond with them about the Bible and the course content. One inmate shared this shortly after our courses went live:

"I have been studying your courses since they became available on our tablets. I have completed 19 courses to date and two videos. I would benefit from a concordance or Bible dictionary if possible. Thank you for what and the way you teach about Jesus. I meet with a Pastor every other week and can not wait till I see him again. His name is Pastor Shawn Coleman and he is the man who made me fully aware of the Amazing grace of God. I was raised in the Catholic church, but never felt the

Here at Emmaus Worldwide, we are constantly on the lookout for more opportunities to share God's word with others. We have received countless testimonies over the years from our long-standing prison ministry, but as prisons enforce more and more restrictions, we have encountered a lot of roadblocks with certain areas limiting the paper based materials that are permitted.
Enter Edovo! Inmates having access to their own tablet in jail is something that has been sweeping across the country for a few years now. The things permitted on these tablets are highly vetted, but the number of inmates with access is growing exponentially. One of the platforms available to them is Edovo. In a blessing from the Lord, Emmaus Worldwide was given permission to upload a selection of courses, and this month we have passed the one year mark since inmates gained access to those five titles. We were then permitted to upload 50 more courses, mostly in English, and also some in Spanish and Turkish.
The numbers associated with this have been staggering. We can see that almost 300,000 lessons have been started. 90% of those lessons have been completed. The number of institutions that are using it continues to grow every week. God is using this in an incredible way! Inmates that are incarcerated in places that have eliminated the ability to receive paper courses now have access to God's word through Edovo. And for those that are still able to receive them, we've presented the option for them to write into our Dubuque home office to be connected with their local Prison Coordinator so that we can interact with them through the courses and provide guidance and encouragement.
Even when restrictions arise, God provides a way! Please join us in this wonderful praise that is now part of this ministry.

Numbers Don't Lie

We have seen skyrocketing growth of course completion on Edovo! In October 2023 we had 8,696 lessons completed and that number is now 306,706 in September. We give all the glory and praise to God. His hand has guided us in every way and we are thankful to be a part of the work!
